ReCork Reusing a Renewable Resource

New Recycling Partners

ReCORK is pleased to welcome three new member organizations to the world of wine cork recycling:

Aria Resort & Casino. On December 16, 2009 Aria, Las Vegas’ newest resort hotel and casino (4004 rooms) officially opened its doors. This LEED® Gold Certified architectural wonder asked ReCORK to provide cork recycling support for the property’s 16 restaurants and 10 bars.

Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa. On January 1 of this year, ReCORK welcomed a second casino partner. Based on the success of ReCORK’s efforts over the next few months, additional casino properties are planned to be added.

Jackson Family Wines. ReCORK has just started a special project with Jackson Family Wines (KJ) in the Sonoma wine region of Northern California. The pilot program is focused on collecting wine corks using JK’s existing transportation network that serves winery, hospitality and retail businesses. In addition, the project will research new and exciting applications for recycled cork that emphasize the sustainable features of cork.
