GRIND - ReCORK's New Blog

Thanks for checking out our new blog, GRIND.

GRIND is ReCORK's new peer-to-peer blog on all things sustainable, upcycling, common sense and of course cork!

A little background on the name GRIND. You might know that wine corks need to be ground down in order to become formed into new products. The wine corks have already served a very functional purpose but still have plenty of life to give. The grinder takes the corks in and churns out granulates, the little shreds of cork that are used to create new, excellent cork-based products such as flooring, furniture, and of course, footwear. The beauty of this process is that cork is such an amazing material. Cork actually enhances the quality of the products I just mentioned and it reduces the need to source other new and potentially harmful materials. This is the very definition of upcycling.

The GRIND blog is all about upcycling its content. The content posted on this blog, be it the actual blog post or the comments, should be of high value. But what interests me the most is the upcycling of the content we create on the site. I'm excited to see how anyone who contributes to this blog can draw inspiration from its content and create actionable initiatives to improve your businesses and support your local communities.

That being said, here are the top three reasons for you to subscribe to the GRIND blog:

  1. You'll be a part of a top shelf community of international, forward-thinking people.
  2. You get exclusive access to promotions and other cool stuff.
  3. You can opt out any time. If you don't feel like GRIND is providing any value to your life, then unsubscribing is easy.

I'm a firm believer in surrounding myself with the brightest and most forward thinking minds. I'm looking forward to engaging with all of you and creating a network of sharp minds that we can all benefit from.
